This slurry can be processed through casting methods, or alternatively, it can be dried, powdered, and subsequently formed using cold isostatic pressing techniques. The resulting green body undergoes careful drying before being subjected to a high-pressure nitrogen atmosphere of 5–8 MPa, with sintering temperatures in the range of 1700°C to 1850°C, held for 1 to 3 hours. This meticulous process results in a Boron Nitride Whiskers/Silicon Nitride ceramic composite material.
The resulting composite exhibits excellent mechanical strength, superior dielectric performance, and remarkable thermal and ablation resistance. These properties make Boron Nitride Whiskers ideal for use in the fabrication of high-performance antenna radomes and other demanding applications.
